The Woman’s Club of Wisconsin – outstanding food and service; beautiful historic atmosphere where you can actually have a conversation; filled with interesting, accomplished women and mentors (and their spouses); wonderful activities associated with dining, including the arts, history, theatre and service!

Hosting Private Parties

I hosted an 80th birthday party for a dear friend at the Woman's Club.  The setting was perfect, the library, just the right size for our group of 15.  The meal was fantastic, especially the chocolate cake. Everyone had a wonderful time.  The staff was easy to work with and the service was great.

Hosting the Friday Night Club Table

I like hosting the Club Table to meet new people. It is fun to meet couples and other women that I do not normally have a chance to get acquainted with. Sometimes on a Friday evening, I do not want to make dinner, and spend an evening alone. So, coming to the Club and socializing with a drink before dinner is very relaxing. I always come home with a good feeling that I had an excellent meal and met new friends.

Visiting Reciprocal Clubs

A dear friend and I decided to spend a night in Chicago this past August, but found that due to the Lollapalooza festival (similar to Summerfest, but on steroids) the hotels in the downtown area were either full or selling at exorbitant rates.  Remembering that the Woman's Club has reciprocal clubs in Chicago, I set out to find rooms for us.  The Standard Club had two rooms available at a rate about half of the going rate, and the location was perfect for our Chicago plans.  We were pleasantly surprised at the gracious welcome of the staff, the large sleeping rooms and bathrooms, and the general ambiance of the club in general.  Everything was spotless, with old world charm.  From now on I will BEGIN my search for a place to stay in cities I visit with our list of reciprocal clubs.
