Women Who Make a Difference

Challenge Grant

Unprecedented. Novel. Bet you’re tired of these overused words of our time.

Challenge. Innovation. Change. These words define the success of WCW over 142 years.

What is Women Who Make a Difference (WWMAD)? This year, instead of a fall Foundation fundraiser event, we conducted a fund drive. A generous but anonymous angel challenged us to donate directly to the grant allocation process so that we can give every donated dollar to organizations that are in greater need of help now due to the virus crisis and all that ensued. Our angel matched every dollar up to $10,000.

We had until October 30 to beat the challenge.

THE FINAL RESULTS ARE IN!

IN JUST 30 DAYS!

Our matching grant angel is thrilled that her $10,000 grant was matched by a total of $47,800.

The grand total of the campaign contributions is $57,800!

This year's grant applicants will be thrilled with our ability in this exceptionally difficult year to increase our generous grants. These organizations were already in need of our generosity. This year the pandemic made supporting the nonprofits in our Milwaukee community an even more important priority. This winter when our grant recipients are chosen and announced, we will publish the grand total awarded, all thanks to our Foundation and our members' exceptional generosity. It is time to be very proud of our Club and its outstanding work in the greater Milwaukee community. As a private club, our WCW Foundation and the Grant Allocation Committee truly set us apart, and it is time to get the word out.

We knew you could meet the challenge!

We will publicize our success so that the community will know we are Women Who Make a Difference.
